Kamaehu earns Arrow of Light Award

In February Kamaehu turned 11 and received the highest award of the Cub Scout of America program, the Arrow of Light Award. He earned his Weeblos badge previously, belt loops and academic pins, but this award was the crowning moment for him in the Cub Scout program. It was a little easier this time around because his brother, Kamalei, earned his Arrow of Light two years ago.

In order to achieve this honor Ehu had to attend his weekly Weeblos Den meetings and participate in a variety of activities. In addition, we worked hard at home completing his Achievement exercises. His activities included things on health, food preparation, safety, science, math, computers, camping and sports. At this level in Cub Scouts the requirements are a little more challenging, which made it harder, but worth it!

The ceremony was well planned by his magnificent leader, Sister Viola Johnson. The highlight was his "crossover" to Boy Scouts, where he will now join the 11 year old Scouts.

Congratulations, Kamaehu for this accomplishment! We are so proud of you!!!
